PEER REVIEW PROCESS

WASR Publication – Ensuring Research Integrity and Quality

At WASR Publication, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic publishing through a rigorous and transparent peer review process. All submitted manuscripts undergo a structured evaluation by qualified experts to ensure originality, clarity, relevance, and scientific accuracy.

πŸ“˜ Types of Peer Review

WASR Publication follows a Double-Blind Peer Review process:

  • Double-Blind: Both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the review process. This ensures impartial feedback and reduces the risk of bias.

πŸ” Peer Review Workflow

  1. Submission Acknowledgement
Once a manuscript is submitted, an automated email confirmation is sent to the corresponding author. The editorial office conducts an initial screening for format, plagiarism, scope alignment, and basic quality.
  2. Editorial Pre-Check
The Editor-in-Chief or assigned Handling Editor checks the manuscript’s relevance to the journal scope and scientific merit. Manuscripts not meeting these criteria may be desk rejected.
  3. Reviewer Assignment
If deemed suitable, the manuscript is sent to at least two independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise. Reviewers are given 10–21 days to complete their review.
  4. Reviewer Evaluation
    Reviewers assess:
    • Originality and significance of the research
    • Methodological soundness
    • Data accuracy and interpretation
    • Quality of language and presentation
    • Ethical compliance
      Recommendations may include:
    • Accept as is
    • Minor revisions
    • Major revisions
    • Reject
  5. Editorial Decision
The editor evaluates the reviewers’ comments and makes a final decision:
    • Accept
    • Minor/Major Revision (returned to the authors with detailed feedback)
    • Reject (with explanation)
  6. Author Revision
Authors are expected to resubmit a revised manuscript within 7–14 days (minor) or 15–30 days (major), along with a response letter addressing each comment.
  7. Final Review & Acceptance
Revised manuscripts may undergo a second round of peer review. Upon satisfactory revision, the editor approves the final version for publication.
  8. Copyediting and Publication
Accepted articles are copyedited and formatted according to WASR guidelines before being published online with DOI assignment.
