WASR Publications respects the intellectual property rights of authors and maintains a clear copyright policy to ensure the protection and proper use of published works. This policy outlines the rights and responsibilities related to copyright for authors, readers, and the publication.

Copyright Ownership

  1. Authors’ Rights

    • Authors retain copyright of their original work.
    • Authors grant WASR Publications the right to publish and distribute the work under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License CC BY NC.
  2. License to Publish

    • By submitting a manuscript, authors grant WASR Publications the right to publish and disseminate the work.
    • This includes the right to make necessary edits for clarity, consistency, and formatting, with the authors’ approval.

Use and Distribution

  1. Readers and Users

    • Readers and users are permitted to:
      • Access, download, and print articles for personal and non-commercial use.
      • Share links to the published work with proper attribution to the authors and WASR Publications.
  2. Attribution and Citation

    • Proper attribution must be given to the authors and WASR Publications when citing or referencing published works.
    • Citation should include the article title, authors’ names, publication source (WASR Publications), and a link to the original publication.

Reuse and Permissions

  1. Commercial Use

    • Commercial use of published works requires permission from the authors or explicit licensing terms.
    • Requests for commercial use, translation, adaptation, or any other reuse should be directed to WASR Publications.
  2. Derivative Works

    • Creation of derivative works based on published articles is permitted under the terms of the CC BY NC license, provided proper attribution is maintained.

Ethical Considerations

  1. Plagiarism and Misuse

    • Plagiarism or unauthorized use of published works is strictly prohibited.
    • Proper citation and permission must be obtained for any reuse or adaptation of content.
  2. Corrections and Retractions

    • WASR Publications reserves the right to correct errors or retract published articles if necessary.
    • Corrections will be made promptly with proper notification.

 

Fraudulent Research and Research Misconduct

If fraudulent research, research misconduct, or plagiarism is found after an article is published, the publisher will contact the author for a response to the allegations. In cases of proven or there is a nonresponse/inadequate response, the offending article will be retracted and a statement from the publisher will be inserted in its place in the relevant journal issue.
