Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
 

 

Manuscript Preparation

  1. General Requirements

    • Submissions must be original works not previously published or under consideration elsewhere.
    • Ensure your manuscript aligns with World Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies (WJMS) scope and mission.
  2. Document Format

    • Submit manuscripts in a standard word processing format (e.g., Microsoft Word).
    • Use a standard font (e.g., Times New Roman, 12pt) and double-space the text.
    • Include page numbers and line numbers for ease of reference.
  3. Title and Authorship

    • Provide a concise and informative title.
    • List the full names, affiliations, and contact details of all authors.
    • Indicate the corresponding author and include an email address.
  4. Abstract and Keywords

    • Include an abstract of 150-250 words summarizing the main findings and significance.
    • Provide 4-6 keywords that accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.
  5. Main Body

    • Structure your manuscript with clear headings and subheadings (e.g., Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion).
    • Use consistent formatting for headings and subheadings.
    • Ensure logical flow and coherence throughout the manuscript.
  6. References and Citations

    • Lists all cited sources according to the journal’s reference style.
    • Include a bibliography or reference list at the end of the manuscript.
    • Ensure all cited works are listed in the reference section and vice versa.

Figures and Tables

  1. General Requirements

    • Include figures and tables that are essential to understanding the content.
    • Submit high-resolution images separately and ensure they are labeled clearly.
  2. Captions and Legends

    • Provide detailed captions for all figures and tables.
    • Ensure captions are informative and standalone.
  3. Placement

    • Indicate the preferred placement of figures and tables within the text.
    • Include placeholders in the manuscript (e.g., [Insert Figure 1 here]).

Ethical Considerations

  1. Plagiarism

    • Submissions must be original and free from plagiarism.
    • Properly cite all sources and obtain permission for any reproduced material.
  2. Conflicts of Interest

    • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
    • Include a statement of conflict of interest in the manuscript if applicable.
  3. Ethical Compliance

    • Ensure that research involving human or animal subjects complies with relevant ethical guidelines.
    • Include a statement of ethical compliance and any necessary approvals.

  1. Cover Letter

    • Include a cover letter summarizing the significance of your work and its relevance to WASR.
    • Address the cover letter to the Editor-in-Chief or appropriate editorial contact.
  2. Acknowledgments

    • Include any acknowledgments for funding, assistance, or support.
    • Ensure all individuals or organizations mentioned have consented to be acknowledged.

Review and Revision Process

  1. Initial Review

    • Manuscripts will undergo an initial review to check for adherence to guidelines and relevance.
    • Authors will be notified if their manuscript proceeds to peer review or requires revisions.
  2. Peer Review

    • Double-blind peer review.
  3. Final Decision

    • The editorial team will make the final decision based on reviewer feedback and editorial standards.
    • Authors will be notified of acceptance, request for further revision, or rejection.
  4. Proofreading

    • Accepted manuscripts will be proofread for grammatical and typographical errors.
    • Authors will have the opportunity to review and approve the final version before publication.

Post-Publication

  1. Corrections

    • Corrections to published articles will be made promptly if errors are identified.
    • Authors should notify the editorial team of any corrections needed.
  2. Promotion

    • WASR may promote published articles through various channels.
    • Authors are encouraged to share their published work within their networks.

 

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
The journal permits the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI)–based tools in manuscript preparation in accordance with COPE recommendations. AI tools may be used only for supportive purposes, such as language editing or formatting. AI tools cannot be listed as authors, and authors remain fully accountable for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all submitted work. Any significant use of AI must be transparently disclosed in the manuscript. Misuse or non-disclosure of AI use may be treated as research misconduct.
