Peer Review Process

Manuscript Submission and Peer-Review Policy

Manuscripts submitted to the World Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies (WJMS) are accepted for evaluation only if the work is original, submitted solely to WJMS, and has not been published, accepted, or submitted elsewhere.

Standard Review Pipeline

Upon submission, the manuscript is sent to the Chief Editors for an initial administrative and technical review:

Plagiarism Assessment:

Every paper is immediately checked for plagiarism. If a manuscript fails this check, it is rejected, and the author is notified to revise, resubmit, or take other actions.

Double-Blinded Evaluation:

Plagiarism-free manuscripts move on to a double-blind peer-review process. To ensure objectivity, the editor removes all author details and assigns a unique code to the document. In this double-blind system, neither the authors nor the reviewers know each other's identities.

Iterative Revision Cycle:

The coded manuscript is reviewed by subject-specific experts. After their evaluation, the paper is returned to the editor with feedback, and the author has a chance to make the necessary changes. The author then sends the revised draft back to the editor, who returns it to the original reviewers for a second assessment.

Fast-Track Processing Option

For quicker evaluation, a fast-track option with specialized reviewers is available. After initial submission, the paper undergoes an immediate plagiarism check. If the plagiarism level is below 15%, the manuscript is sent to a special reviewer for urgent evaluation before being forwarded to the editor for final checks and publication approval.

Final Approval and Rejection Notice

Once an article is corrected, verified, and approved by the peer-review panel and the editorial team, it is published in the journal. However, authors should be aware that papers can be rejected at any point in the process if they do not implement the revisions and corrections suggested by the reviewers and editors.
